Bullets Handle Lakers, 4-1

The Baltimore Bullets got a strong performance from pitcher Kevin Brown, who stymied the Echo Park offense en route to a win, 4-1, at LA Forum. Brown got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Brown allowed 1 run. Thomas Rice was called on to finish, recording his 4th save.
Baltimore used a clutch hit from Roberto Alcoholado to snatch the win. The pinch hitter belted a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bullets ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was huge.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Alcoholado.
For the Lakers, the loss makes them 5-9.
