Bullets Bump Off Lakers, 6-3
|
Baltimore first baseman Juan Andrés Martí made his presence felt in the 6-3 Bullets triumph over the Echo Park Lakers. Martí slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Getting the save was Thomas Rice, his 3rd. Baltimore is off to a hot start at 9-4.
With Baltimore leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Martí hit a fastball from George Crane for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Bullets ahead, 3-0.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Martí.
