Piranhas Top Bullets in Extras, 3-2
|
Panama City Piranhas starter Pat Butler pitched his team past the Baltimore Bullets, 3-2. The winner in relief was Cole Howard. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. The defeat makes Baltimore 3-2.
The Piranhas procured the win, in large part because of shortstop José Santos. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Santos. "I like it."
