The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles used an offensive barrage to beat the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 13-2, at Imps Park. Lorenzo Gallardo led the way, going 2-for-3 for Mercer Island. José Zamora, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 14-3. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Gary Smith.

Gallardo made an early impact for Mercer Island when he stroked his 4th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came in the top of the second, put the Screaming Eagles on top, 5-0.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Screaming Eagles manager Ricardo Vargas, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
