Guinea Pigs Snatch 2-1 Win
|
The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs picked up a win at Thunder Hawks Ballpark, knocking off the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 2-1. On the mound for Gwinnett was left-hander Al Moulin, who played a pivotal role in the win. Moulin went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-9. Rex Davis earned the save for Gwinnett, his 23rd of the year.
Gwinnett right fielder Emílio Casas delivered a solo home run in the top of the third. Overall, he went 3 for 4, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 1.
