Chambers, Crescent City Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
The Crescent City Krewe got a magnificent performance from pitcher Fraser Chambers, who muffled the Ithaca offense en route to a tight 2-0 Krewe win at Field of the Krewe. Ron Ward closed the game out for Crescent City, earning his 7th save. The win lifted the Crescent City record to 33-18.
Chambers, who dominated for Crescent City, earned the victory to move to 4-4. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 7. Ithaca batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"Fraser was pounding the zone," said Crescent City manager David Martínez.
