The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles racked up a win at Field of the Rawhides, bumping off the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 6-3. Francisco Encarnación, who started for Mercer Island, pitched effectively for his team. After today's action, Mercer Island sits at 19-8; Squirrel Hill slips to 7-20.

In the top of the fourth, with Mercer Island leading 2-1, catcher Leon Wright hit a run-scoring single. The hit came off Mané Garrincha and put the Screaming Eagles ahead, 3-1.
