Thunder Hawks Fall Short, 5-4, at Crescent City
The Crescent City Krewe faced a tough opponent in Ft. Polk South pitcher Robert Brewer, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Field of the Krewe by a final score of 5-4. Brewer went 5.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. Mark Springer earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. His record is now 1-0. Melis Ooyendijk collected save number 10.

Crescent City took a 5-4 lead on Aaron Carter's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Carter hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Ft. Polk South pitcher Albert Poe visibly frustrated.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Ft. Polk South manager Hiroji Nakagawa. "But we decided not to take it."

Crescent City, now 15-5, is setting the league on fire so far.
