A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks and Ithaca Fighting Imps.

Millard Clement could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Ithaca Fighting Imps lost, dropping a 3-0 decision to the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks at Imps Park. Ft. Polk South reliever Valentín Jiménez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Millard Clement shouldered the loss.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Andrew Brown? The Ft. Polk South right fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Thunder Hawks on top, 2-0. For the game, Brown had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Ft. Polk South manager Hiroji Nakagawa. "It's usually not just one thing."

With the loss, Ithaca drops to 4-7.
