Screaming Eagles Beat Fighting Imps, 9-5
Jeffrey Sparks had a good game, but he could not keep the Ithaca Fighting Imps from falling, 9-5, to the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles at Mercer Island Grounds. The Ithaca designated hitter went 3-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice in the loss. Alan Gonzáles earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 3 innings. His record is now 1-0. Stuart Fossett collected his 2nd save.

Mercer Island took a 3-2 lead on Charles Barnes's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Ithaca pitcher Willis Petersen in the bottom of the seventh.
