Asheville Out of Playoff Race Sunday, September 18th , 2050 It's a "gut-wrenching feeling," Asheville Highlanders reliever Tom Young said, for the team to have gotten so close to a playoff berth, only to be eliminated in the waning days of the season. The club was officially eliminated from the postseason chase today. Before this season, the Highlanders last missed the playoffs in 2048. In the 23 years they have been a M3L Double A franchise, they have missed the playoffs 20 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Highlanders have only made the playoffs once. Asheville last won the 3L AA Championship in 2049. |
