Fur Traders Officially Fire Rosa as Skipper
Saturday, June 25th , 2050
You can't fire the players when times get tough. Ángel Rosa learned that the hard way today as he was dismissed from his managerial position with the Tacoma Fur Traders.
Citing a need to "shake things up," a team official said it was time to move on.
"We respect what Ángel has done for the club and we thank him for his time here, but we just think the future of the Fur Traders needs to be handled by someone else and needs to move in a different direction," said club general manager Joe Unknown in a prepared statement.
For his part, Rosa remained upbeat about the decision.
"I know it's a business and sometimes you've just got to make a change," he said. "I want to thank Tacoma for the opportunity to manage here."
Team officials are expected to announce an interim manager in the next few days.
