Asheville Loses Carpenter for Year Tuesday, May 31st , 2050 Doctors in Asheville said Dennis Carpenter might not play anymore this year. The Highlanders catcher suffered a severely strained hip muscle during a game against the Lancaster Farmers and will be out for at least 4-5 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season. This season Carpenter has hit at a .308 clip and produced 5 runs batted in, 1 home run and 2 runs. |
