Hicham Picot Chosen 3A's Top Player
Monday, September 26th , 2050
At the age of 22, Hicham Picot of the Mancelona Torch could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2050 was good enough to win the center fielder the M3L Single A Outstanding Hitter Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .336 batting average this year, as well as a .397 on-base percentage. He played 69 games and racked up 76 hits, 15 doubles, 1 triple, 18 home runs, 47 RBIs and 41 runs scored.
He received 6 first place votes out of a possible 12. Rob Robinson of the Caldwell Chiefs finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Jason James of the Put-In-Bay Commodores finished third.
