Menard's A Won: Chiefs on Top Friday, September 2nd , 2050 José González said it takes "a lot of dedication and sacrifice" to win a division title. That's why he and his Caldwell Chiefs teammates were so excited to celebrate their Menard's A championship today. "It's been a team effort all year long," he said. "You don't get to this point without the guys in the room believing in what we're doing." That belief has paced the club to a 65-26 record on the season. It is the club's 7th Menard's A championship and puts them in position for their 3rd M3L Single A championship. "It's a talented bunch in that room," manager Kevin Fields said pointing to his celebrating players. "I wouldn't bet against us." |
