5-Hit Blitz by Put-In-Bay's Brooks Wednesday, August 24th , 2050 It was almost a perfect day for Ron Brooks. The Put-In-Bay left fielder displayed a hot bat today, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Commodores lost to the Syracuse Storm, 7-6. Brooks told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle." Put-In-Bay manager Adrián Hernández told the beat writers otherwise. "There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together today, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well." Ron Brooks doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
