Alameda Loses Conrad Hickey, Will Miss Season

Conrad Hickey has to call it a season. The Alameda Airmen shortstop sustained a season-ending injury against the Grand Forks Caterpillars and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Hickey was injured while running the bases. His doctors diagnosed it as a broken kneecap and stated that he would not be able to play for 6-7 months.
This year Hickey is hitting .207 with 3 home runs and 22 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .282 clip and scored 16 runs.
