Boyd Tosses 8-0 Shutout Sunday, June 19th , 2050 Caldwell Chiefs hurler Steve Boyd was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Grand Forks Caterpillars, shutting them out 8-0 on 3 hits. "Steve was very aggressive tonight," Caldwell manager Kevin Fields said. "He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence." Through 9 innings, Boyd tallied 9 strikeouts and allowed 1 walk. "He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well," losing manager Craig Stewart said.
