Duggleby Excels, But Chiefs Win
The Caldwell Chiefs had to overcome a big game from Put-In-Bay center fielder Jerry Duggleby to leave Put-In-Bay Ballpark with a victory. And they did, winning 8-6. Duggleby was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The Chiefs improved to a lofty 66-26.

Caldwell relied on the hitting of Scott Willis to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Chiefs on top, 7-4. For the game, Willis had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
