River Rats Go Down to Defeat, 8-1
Columbia had no answer for Washington Generals starter Nathan Hamilton, who flummoxed River Rats hitters as the Generals cruised to victory, 8-1. The 10th-place Generals lifted their record to 37-55.

Making an impact for the home team was Ryan Dickey. In the bottom of the fifth, the 22-year old right fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 3-1, Generals.

"Nathan -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Generals manager Nick Hoskins. "He was the key to us winning."
