The Caldwell Chiefs defeated the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 6-4, at Pipers Ballpark. Caldwell shortstop Gustavo Cota had a superb performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Chiefs improved to a lofty 56-24.

Cota contributed in the bottom of the fourth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Caldwell get the win.

Cota told the Caldwell Daily: "I was born for the big stage."
