Bulls Deal Vibes 2-1 Defeat
|
The Belleville Bulls and Rocky Mountain Vibes put on a pitchers' duel.
Rocky Mountain pitcher Julian Glenn gave the Bulls all they could handle, but in the end, Belleville left Bellevue Field with a win, 2-1. Glenn allowed 2 runs on 1 hit over 6.1 innings. Robby Brooks got the win, improving to 6-5. He held the Vibes to 1 run on 6 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 2.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Tyler Adams? The Belleville center fielder had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning to put the Bulls on top, 1-0. For the game, Adams had 1 double and 1 single in 2 at-bats.
"Every loss stings," said Rocky Mountain manager Mal Green. "This one is no exception."
The third-place Bulls now have a win-loss record of 49-28.
