The home crowd had a good time watching the Mancelona Torch and Pontiac Godfathers get after it.

Pontiac designated hitter Robert Curtis played a vital role in his team's 6-3 triumph over Mancelona. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Pontiac. Steve Sanford got the win, improving to 5-9. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 6. Luka Daalmeijer closed it out for his 2nd save.

Curtis contributed in the bottom of the first. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Pontiac get the win.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Curtis said after the game.

The Godfathers raised their record to 27-49.
