The Alameda Airmen had no problem beating the Caldwell Chiefs, 11-3, at Alameda Field. Scott Donovan led the way. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5 for Alameda. Peter Jackson got the win, improving to 2-3. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Jack Land recorded the save for Alameda, his 1st of the season.

In the first inning, Donovan had a 2-run home run for Alameda. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Airmen on top, 2-0.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Donovan told the Alameda Chronicle.
