Expos Need Extra Frames to Get Past Godfathers
|
The Niagara Falls Expos got a magnificent effort from pitcher Seung-woo Ch'oe, who kept Pontiac hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Expos win at Pontiac Copperdome. Niagara Falls reliever Steve Hale was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Dae-ki Chang took the loss. Niagara Falls is now 41-24, Pontiac 23-42.
Niagara Falls used a clutch hit from Pat May to get the win. The left fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the 19th inning to put the Expos ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 7 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Both teams played hard," said Niagara Falls manager Dave Davis.
