Vibes Top Generals, 4-3
|
The Rocky Mountain Vibes wiggled past the Washington Generals, 4-3, at Washington Park. The win was highlighted by the performance of Rocky Mountain pitcher Juan Estéves. The winner was Rocky Mountain reliever Larry Wilson, now 1-4. The loser was Dawson Adams. Sean Hamilton, credited with the save, is now 3 for 3 in save opportunities.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Horace Ellis came to bat in the top of the 12th. Facing Washington pitcher Dawson Adams, he hit a 2-1 cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Rocky Mountain on top, 4-3.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Washington manager Nick Hoskins.
Rocky Mountain's record now stands at 27-38, placing them 8th in the Menard's A.
