Caldwell Hot Streak Continues with 7-2 Win
|
The streak continues for Caldwell.
Caldwell turned a good effort from starter Steve Boyd into a win over the Alameda Airmen at Alameda Field. The final score was 7-2. This win makes it 18 in a row for Caldwell.
Caldwell used a timely hit from Kerkko Kivikoski to get the win. The second baseman delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Chiefs on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Kivikoski told the Caldwell Daily. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
