Chiefs Defeat Generals, 3-2
|
Caldwell Chiefs starter Frank Paulin was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Washington Generals, 3-2. The win was credited to Brian Becker in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Dawson Adams took the loss. The winning continues for Caldwell, with the latest making it 9 straight.
It could have been a different outcome for Caldwell, had it not been for Gustavo Cota, the 21-year old second baseman . Cota contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the 12th inning to put Caldwell up, 3-2.
"This is a resilient bunch," said Caldwell manager Kevin Fields.
