The Washington Generals racked up a win at Washington Park, bumping off the Pontiac Godfathers, 3-2. Rod Ropp, who started for Washington, pitched effectively for his team. Earning his 3rd save for Washington was Dawson Adams. Washington is in 8th place in the Menard's A with a record of 18-24.
Had Kerry Carcia not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, Carcia hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Generals.
Pontiac manager Allen Yohemas said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
