Evans goes 3-for-4 to Power Godfathers Offense
The Pontiac Godfathers cruised to a win over the Put-In-Bay Commodores, 13-4, at Put-In-Bay Ballpark. Willie Evans led the way, going 3-for-4 for Pontiac. Put-In-Bay is in the throes of a 16-game losing streak.

With Pontiac leading 7-4 in the top of the ninth, Evans hit a changeup from Chien-shih Chen for a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Godfathers ahead, 11-4.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Evans told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
