Expos Deal Generals 6-1 Loss
|
Washington had no answer for Niagara Falls Expos hurler Aldo Buyse, who overwhelmed Generals hitters as the Expos coasted to victory, 6-1. Niagara Falls reliever Rodrigo Valderrábano picked up the win to move to 2-0. Jaime Morales suffered the loss. Niagara Falls is now 17-9, Washington 11-15.
Niagara Falls used the timely hitting of Celestino Canova to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Expos on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"Big win," said Buyse.
