Skidding Airmen Lose 6th Straight
|
Alameda first baseman John O'Farrell was sensational. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Syracuse beat the Airmen, 6-2. The Airmen, now 4-12, continue their sluggish start.
Syracuse used the clutch hitting of Leonard Allen to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Storm ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Alameda manager Gonzalo Féliz.
