Tacoma Pins 7-5 Loss on Highlanders

The Tacoma Fur Traders handed the Asheville Highlanders a loss at Asheville Park. The final score was 7-5. Allen Edwards was one of the major contributors for Tacoma. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 1 run and drove in 4. Albert Davis picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-2. Scotty Mays was tagged with the loss. Juan Gutiérrez got the save, his 17th in 20 chances.
With Tacoma leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Edwards hit a fastball from Scotty Mays for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Fur Traders ahead, 4-0.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Edwards.
The Fur Traders raised their record to 37-64.
