Farmers Stick Nationals with 8-5 Loss
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Ottawa Nationals and Lancaster Farmers get after it.
Lancaster catcher Robbie Riding made his presence felt in the 8-5 Farmers triumph over the Ottawa Nationals. Riding went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Troy Charles Jr., 4-8, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings.
Had Tyler Harris not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Harris hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Farmers.
Harris called the triumph "a good team win."
Lancaster now has a 4-game win streak.
