Irving catcher Sean Sparrow picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Lancaster Farmers, 5-4. Caleb Bullock, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 10th save. Today's win puts Irving at 37-56, while Lancaster falls to 43-50.
With Irving leading 2-1 in the top of the fourth, Sparrow hit a cutter from John Noble for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Blue Sox ahead, 5-1.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Sparrow told the Irving Herald.
