Asheville picked up a win at Asheville Park, toppling the Yakima Hops, 4-1. Pitcher Ichiro Kumagai was one of the reasons the Highlanders triumphed. With the victory, the Highlanders upped their record to 47-34.

Asheville grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, Orel Vodarsky delivered a 2-run single, to make it 3-1 in favor of the Highlanders.

"I like what I saw today," said Asheville manager Carlos Pérez, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
