Saboteurs Come Back Late, Nip Fur Traders

Both teams had their chances, but the Toledo Saboteurs eventually prevailed.
The Toledo Saboteurs did just enough to sneak past the Tacoma Fur Traders, 4-3, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Toledo pitcher Mike Thornton, in particular, had a standout performance. Toledo reliever Dan Wells picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Don Lucas absorbed the loss.
Toledo used the timely hitting of Will Burns to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Saboteurs on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Thornton.
The Saboteurs, at 35-30, sit in third place in the Menard's AA.
