Ottawa Gets 5-4 Win
|
Good production from designated hitter Conor Routledge helped the Ottawa Nationals topple the Lancaster Farmers, 5-4. Routledge was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Nationals. Kevin Stone snagged the win in relief. In 2.2 innings, the right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit. He's now 2-0 on the season. The Farmers, now 26-35, have lost 4 straight.
John Tolbert, the 25-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Tolbert contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Ottawa up, 5-4.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Lancaster manager Tracy Williams.
