Kumagai Now 8-1 After Subduing Blue Sox
|
Behind an impressive start by Ichiro Kumagai, Asheville beat Irving, 3-0. Asheville raised its record to 35-26 with the win.
The Highlanders liked what they saw from Kumagai. The 22-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Blue Sox to no runs on 4 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 3.
"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Kumagai.
