Polar Bears Beat Farmers, 5-4
|
The Billings Polar Bears did just enough to sneak past the Lancaster Farmers, 5-4, at Farmers Field. Billings pitcher Nathan Sims, in particular, had a standout performance. Júlio Martínez earned the save for Billings, his 16th. The win makes Billings 30-17.
Billings used the bat of Martín Guzmán to get the win. The left fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Polar Bears ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"We did enough to win," said Guzmán.
