Fur Traders Beat Farmers, 4-1
|
The Lancaster Farmers and Tacoma Fur Traders were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Fernando Ramírez pitched a gem to lead Tacoma to victory over the Lancaster Farmers, 4-1. Juan Gutiérrez was called on to finish, recording his 7th save.
In the bottom of the fourth, Tacoma center fielder Rick Smith had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Smith stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 3-1, Tacoma. For the game, he went 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Ramírez.
Tacoma goes to 14-21, Lancaster to 16-19.
