Ghosts Best Sixshooters in Pitching Duel
|
Matt Howe was in top form in a low-scoring contest between Casper and Westwood. The Ghosts right-hander helped his team beat the Sixshooters, 2-1. Jorge Cestero snagged the win in relief. In 2 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits. He's now 1-4 on the season. At 17-18, Casper is in 7th place in the Menard's AA.
Casper took a 2-1 lead on Tomás Ventura's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Ventura hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Westwood pitcher Sidney Kuijkhoven visibly frustrated.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Howe.
