Eclipse Improve to 16-12 with 4-2 Win
|
Northville picked up a win at Old-Timers Park, toppling the Asheville Highlanders, 4-2. Pitcher Juan Ramírez was one of the reasons the Eclipse triumphed. Ramírez, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 3 walks. Bastien Martinez, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 12th save.
With two out in the bottom of the first, Abraham Waddle barreled up a changeup from Martín Rivera. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Eclipse in front, 4-0.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Ramírez.
The win puts Northville at 16-12 this season.
