8-3 Loss Extends Tacoma Losing Streak
|
The Marquette Miners defeated the Tacoma Fur Traders, 8-3, in M3L Double A action at Marquette Stadium. Marquette pitcher Ben Gallagher had a standout performance. Gallagher, now 2-3, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. The losses continue to mount for Tacoma, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
Also having an impact was right fielder Eric Heath, who stroked a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth for Marquette. For the game, Heath was 2-4 with a double. He scored 2 times.
Heath called the triumph "a good team win."
