Floundering Farmers Lose 6th Straight
|
The Westwood Sixshooters beat the Lancaster Farmers, 4-3. Westwood pitcher and Bismarck, North Dakota, native Cory Fisher led the way. The slumping Farmers have lost 6 straight.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Westwood trailing 3-2, Eric Bowman jumped on a 1-2 cutter from John Noble for a 2-run home run, sending the Sixshooters to a walk-off win.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Fisher.
