Sixshooters Earn 6-4 Win Against Blue Sox
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Westwood Sixshooters and Irving Blue Sox.
Matt Carter had a good game, but he could not keep the Irving Blue Sox from falling, 6-4, to the Westwood Sixshooters at Blue Sox Ballpark. The Irving second baseman hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice in the loss. Westwood now owns a record of 11-11.
Westwood needed the clutch hitting of Eric Bowman to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Sixshooters on top, 3-2. For the game, Bowman had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Bowman. "And not try to do too much."
