Saboteurs Best Blue Sox in Pitching Duel

The Toledo Saboteurs managed to get by the Irving Blue Sox, 2-1, at Toledo Backyard Park. Toledo pitcher Luis Montáñez set himself apart with his performance. Montáñez picked up the win for Toledo, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 3-0. Paul Allen picked up the save for Toledo, his 1st of the year.
The Saboteurs got a big at-bat from left fielder Colm Lithgoe. For the game, Lithgoe was 2-4 with a home run and a triple. In the bottom of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Toledo a 2-1 lead.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Saboteurs manager José Zamora, "I like our chances."
With the win, Toledo climbs to 6-11.
