Tight Tilt Goes to Saboteurs, 4-3

Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Toledo Saboteurs got the win.
Toledo pitcher Ed Pearce did his part in helping his team beat the Billings Polar Bears, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Earning his 1st save for Toledo was Shuji Kokawa.
Danny Warren went 2-3 with 2 singles for Toledo. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Bob Brown. It was his 5th RBI of the season.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Pearce told a Toledo Daily reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
Billings drops to 9-4.
