The exploits of designated hitter Jacob Grimsey helped the Lancaster Farmers defeat the Westwood Sixshooters, 6-1. Grimsey was 2 for 5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Lancaster reliever Jeff Petersen picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Allen Simon shouldered the loss. Jorge Santos was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
Lancaster took a 4-0 lead on Grimsey's 2nd triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which he hit off Allen Simon in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Lancaster to the win.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Grimsey told the Lancaster Observer.
Lancaster goes to 3-2.
