Vásquez Ups Hit Streak to 40 Consecutive Games Thursday, September 2nd , 2049 Gabriel Vásquez of the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC has now hit safely in 40 straight games. He socked 2 hits in today's 15-5 triumph over MSL Charleston at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark. "40 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Vásquez said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around." Gabriel Vásquez singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and walked in the 8th. So far this season Vásquez is batting .467 with 2 home runs. |
